SUMMER ON THE FARM

The Territory Teaches Us is a project we carry out every year at our educational farm, part of Agri-care.

​

It is funded by the Foundation for Social Cohesion and the Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca Foundation, both of which have always supported educational and social initiatives in the area.

It is a nature-based education program for preschool children, designed to provide authentic experiences in the rural environment.

​

We offer activities dedicated to the elements of nature, with creative workshops and moments of discovery through play. Children can:

• participate in hands-on workshops

• tend to the garden and experience farming activities

• discover the magical world of bees

• experience sensory and outdoor activities

 

The approach is experiential: learning by doing, observing, and actively experiencing the territory.

Experience nature at Manipura

Participate in summer activities at our Il Giardino di Manipura Farm, dedicated to children in 2018-2019, offering experiences immersed in nature.

​

The activities take place outdoors, immersed in the natural beauty of our farm. The plants we grow are the focus of our activities, and we use them to stimulate curiosity, creativity, and independence.

Children can:

• Participate in sensory and creative experiences immersed in nature

• Tend the educational garden

• Discover ancient crafts and rural traditions with Amedeo, our farm's great-grandfather

• Experience creative and hands-on workshops

• Discover the special world of bees

Words in the Green is a nature-based speech therapy project we run on our farm, dedicated to the prevention and development of children's language skills through experiences immersed in nature.

​

 

Nature is a stimulating space that promotes emotional, social, and cognitive well-being.

 

Through observation, exploration, and direct experience, children are guided through activities aimed at:

​

• Vocabulary development

• Development of narrative skills

• Phonology activities (prerequisites for reading and writing)

• Listening education

• Increasing attention span and communication skills

 

A central element of the project is the active involvement of families: through information sessions and educational counseling, we offer practical and simple tools that can also be used at home, because a child's development stems from the continuity between home, school, and the outside world, thanks to the collaboration between children, experts, and families.
