April brings with it a symphony of colors and scents. The days get longer, giving you more time to explore and enjoy the beauty of the awakening world. The scent of the air is fresh and impregnated with the sweet aroma of wild flowers and the earth bathed by the first spring rains.
April is a month that brings with it the promise of new discoveries and outdoor activities, as nature prepares to explode in all its splendor. The earth dresses up in her most beautiful dress and invites us to celebrate wonderful adventures with her! In our Agriturismo and Educational Farm "Il Giardino di Manipura" in Massarosa, we have prepared a series of fun events and workshops in contact with nature! From "Botanical Printing and Natural Dyes" to experiment with nature's shapes, colors and patterns on fabrics and fabrics to "The Colors of the Earth" to sow a better future together! Botanical Printing and Natural Dyeing Laboratory: learn to extract colors from plants - 6 April 2024 Do you want to find out how color is extracted from a plant? in the botanical printing and natural dyeing laboratory you can find out! It is a wonderful experience that we realize in our farmhouse in Massarosa (Lucca), where the beauty of nature is revealed in every detail and we learn the basics of these splendid techniques. The leaves and flowers give life to wonderful colors released on the fabrics and convey a feeling of calm and deep connection with nature. They are moments that nourish our soul and fill our hearts with gratitude for the wonder that surrounds us. 🔹TIME: Saturday 6 April at 2.00 pm 🔹WHAT WE WILL DO: We will use the plant parts of the plants we grow in our farm and we will learn how to extract natural colors to give new life and color to canvases and fabrics. Not only that! We will learn to leave the imprint of nature on the fabric, experimenting with shapes, colors and patterns that will make your garments unique.
Botanical Printing Laboratory on Natural Dyes: how nature colors fabrics - 20 April 2024 Do you know how double printing can be released on fabric? Participate in the Botanical Printing Laboratory on Natural Dyes and discover the unique imprint of nature on fabrics. 🔹TIME: 1.00pm 🔹WHAT WE WILL DO: In this creative experience, we will use what nature offers us to create beautiful patterns and colors on fabrics. Double printing involves extracting pigments from leaves and flowers to create natural colors. Through this technique, called medium printing, you will learn how to transform these raw materials into natural inks, respectful of the environment and rich in unique shades. During the workshop we will experiment and put into practice this fascinating technique and you will learn to transform your garments into unique works of art. We will extract colors from medicinal plants that we grow on our farm and we will use leaves and flowers to give spectacular patterns to the fabrics.
The colors of the earth - April 21, 2024 Let's take care of our land! In a few days it will be World Earth Day, a special occasion to raise awareness among adults and children on the issues of environmental sustainability and the protection of our planet! Every day we sow seeds of hope, joy and awareness about the importance of taking care of our wonderful Earth, we do it when schools, summer activities and during the events we organize visit us. On Sunday 21st April we want to share with you the love we have for the land with tastings of delicious local products and with many exciting and fun activities.. Discover all that is beautiful and good that we are committed to doing for our Earth. April is a surprising month, it invites us to let ourselves be enveloped by the scents of nature in bloom and to let ourselves be carried away by the magic of its awakening, reminding us that, like nature, we too can be reborn and continually renewed.
