While autumn colors the countryside, in our Agriturismo and Educational Farm Il Giardino di Manipura, St. Martin's Day becomes an extraordinary celebration of sensory adventures and deep connections with nature. It's time to close a chapter and enthusiastically embrace a new beginning. The land is preparing to "rest", to experience a new season, looked after and pampered by the farmers who take care of it every day.
San Martino at Il Giardino di Manipura: a sensorial experience in contact with Nature
An engaging journey in which every step leads to the discovery of authentic emotions and unforgettable experiences, with adventures in Nature, peasant trials, ancient traditions and magical games. The Manipura children were immersed in an experience that challenged mind and body, through questions about nature and peasant trials to overcome. Moving on a giant wooden goose toy, the children touched, tasted and smelled the surrounding world. It was a magical way to learn, an invitation to explore Nature in a creative and engaging way, in the company of friends and family, surprises and laughter.
There was no shortage of Autumn flavors and aromas, chestnuts, with their warm and enveloping flavour, became the heart of delicacies that captured the palates and warmth of those who came to visit us. Among the most appreciated was our Castagnaccio with its delicate taste. Anyone who has ever been lucky enough to taste chestnut, lovingly prepared by grandparents with every bite, has been able to take a journey back in time, a return to childhood, an embrace of nostalgia made unmistakable by the aroma and flavor that remain eternally imprinted in the memory. There was no shortage of roasted chestnuts and the legendary necci on the grill then filled with ricotta or Manipura jams, with a good, smoked scent, like when they were prepared by the family during the coldest days.
Our tasty 0km Manipura cutting boards are a must, with top quality local products, which celebrate the freshness and authenticity of traditional flavours, bringing those who taste them directly into the beating heart of our farm.
St. Martin's Day at Il Giardino di Manipura was much more than an event; every gesture undertaken was a dance with nature, an invitation to connect with the world around us and to awaken our senses. Sharing special moments and autumn flavors made this day unforgettable.

During this phase, November 11 stands out as a date of great significance, with Saint Martin breaking his cloak to give it to those suffering from the cold. This gesture of sharing represents an act of self-denial to welcome the other in spirit. Saint Martin teaches us to see beyond appearances and to overcome limits. 11 is a master number that symbolizes a movement of consciousness, an invitation to be in constant movement, without a defined destination, but with the emphasis placed on the journey itself. During this journey, Saint Martin remains connected to the deepest part of himself, the heart and compassion. November 11th is also dedicated to the goose, symbol of challenges and tests to overcome. Over the years, this concept has led to the choice of the giant goose game as the route to take during this anniversary. Here, children face a series of peasant trials, to be faced alone or in company. Some of these challenges have been specifically designed to promote sharing, reiterating the importance of helping and supporting others along their journey.
November 11th represents much more than just a date on the calendar. It is a call to the adventure of the soul, a journey towards compassion and sharing, an opportunity for growth and transformation. And this is our journey!

The Earth gave us blooms that smelled like spring and crops that tasted like summer sun. Every flower and every fruit have brought with them the magic of the seasons and with them we have created products that lull the senses and nourish the soul.

Every day we will continue to cultivate beauty, to thank the Earth for the fruits it wants to give us and to forcefully embrace nature as part of our being.
